Football News : India to have U-17 Women's World Cup in 2020



India will have the U-17 Women's World Cup in 2020, International Football Federation (FIFA) President Gianni Infantino declared.

Football: We are enchanted to report that India has been affirmed as the host of the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in 2020," Infantino said after the FIFA Council meeting in Miami, USA on March 15. This will be the second FIFA competition India will have, after the U-17 Men's World Cup in 2017. Affirming the advancement, All India Football Federation General Secretary Kushal Das told PTI: "We are appreciative to FIFA for giving the privilege to have the U-17 Women's World Cup. This will raise the profile of ladies' football in the nation. 

"We have been giving a great deal of accentuation on the advancement of ladies' football in the nation. So we offer for the U-17 Women's World Cup and now we have it."
