PM Narendra Modi affirmed changes to the 'PM Scholarship Scheme' under the National Defense Fund. This was his first choice on accepting office for the second time, an administration articulation said on Friday.

The Prime Minister, who made the vow of office on Thursday evening, affirmed the expansion in grant sum from ₹2,000 to ₹2,500 every month for young men and from ₹2,250 to ₹3,000 every month for young ladies. The ambit of the plan was likewise extended to cover the dependents of the government police authorities martyred in fear or Naxal assaults.
The plan is intended to energize specialized and post-graduate instruction of widows and wards of expired faculty of the Armed powers, the paramilitary powers and the Railway Protection Force.
