Pope Francis has delegated a Sri Lankan cleric as the Secretary of the Vaticans Pontifical Council for Inter-religious Dialog (PCID), the media provided details regarding Friday.
Asia News: Rev. Msgr. Indunil Janakaratne Kodithuwakku, who has been delegated as the Secretary of the PCID is an individual from the church of the Diocese of Badulla, Sri Lanka, reports News First.
Rev. Kodithuwakku would be the second Sri Lankan minister to hold a secretarial position at an ecclesiastical council.The PCID was built up by Paul VI in 1964, with the point of advancing exchange with people of different religions, in accordance with the soul of the Second Vatican Council.
The Council is made out of around 30 individuals and approximately 50 councilors from over the world from different foundations and ability, filling in as advisors, masters in religious investigations or are occupied with the field of exchange.
